Daryl Belfry would be a steal but probably not old school enough and probably makes too much money for this.

If you’ve ever put you kid in hockey Canada or hockey Alberta training programs you know they are usually the worst skating pylon junk you can imagine.

Need someone with some innovation and getting rid of types/tropes. There are guys who just never get on the radar for whatever reason, played in a non sanctioned league and they can never get out of that and we remove large numbers of great players from the streams.

What is the point? The national team only gets together once a year with no practices or anything. And the team is different each time it's assembled because it's based on who is in the playoffs or not.

Pretty fluffy job for a guy who works for 2 weeks per year.

Don't have a lot of faith in that organization to hire anyone decent... feel like it will probably be somebody who got fired out of an NHL job who is in the old boys club, or some old crappy retired Oiler on the basis of a bunch of cups as a player using their connections. Craig MacTavish ticks both boxes, come on down buddy

Better than hiring a different guy for each job all the time.

These guys can oversea the World Championships, World Juniors, Hilinka tournaments and have to scout players and build 3 teams.

So many bad choices available for this job. I'm sure they'll select one of the top 3 worst candidates. MacT, Joel Q, Bill Peters?

Wha...? I didnt even make your list? Come on!

Besides, you forgot Graham James.

Why choose the 'lesser evil?'

I mean you have your quirks for sure but have some work to do. I'd rank you under Mike Babcock

Hey if you want the wrong person for the job, i'm happy to do it.

I can work remotely, in the wrong country, can pick players from just watching on tv, happy to just get together every now and again.

We brits know hockey, we even beat Canada back in the 50's.
