Default Avalanche 4 Flames 2

Avalanche 4 Flames 2

- Flames completely out classed
- Only the fourth line above water in metrics
- Makar and Mackinnon run over them

Well, at least Klapka had a good night - he looked much better than he had in the last 3 games before tonight.

Flames are flailing 5 on 5 now. Hopefully the rest (after Seattle) will do them good, and figure out how to get their game back.

I had so much hope after the first. Then an hour later I turned off the game and played Alan Wake II.

Ironically the first period was a horror show too ... but with lipstick

With no Zary, almost no Backlund, and no Bahl, they are struggling.

It happens to every team over the course of a season. I just don't get why some fans are freaking out over it - do you really think this Flames team can play an 82 game season without any slumps? No team can, so expecting a rebuilding team that is relying primarily on goaltending and hard work to do so is ridiculous.

Relax, and enjoy the wins and the chase.

Last two games make me wonder if there is an illness or some such making it's rounds. Not enough of a bug to get really sick, but still leave everyone drained.

It's probably wishfull thinking, but last two games have not looked like the same team.

And it was always likely that they'd get pinched when the opposition ramped up their work ethic through the season.

They got past the Q2 bump, the post Xmas bump, but now they are approaching the all star game (not this year) and a month to the deadline and suddenly they look over matched.

A shocking turn of events that none of us could have foreseen

I look at how well they've done and I am proud of them for being substantially better than they should be. Some fans seem to be reacting like the Flames just stole their lunch money: "how could you do this to me, you bastards?!"

The lack of patience with some fans is just astounding.
