He has a couple of pretty productive seasons with the sharks.
60 points in 69 games last year
45 points in 52 games this year.

Saravalli was speculating a 1st+ would be the cost about a month back. He was pretty accurate on his Monahan prediction so I'm curious what DAL paid.

Just taking a wild stab at the roster construction in Dallas...
Dadonov and Dumba going the other way.

Walman would be a big add for Dallas, that would be a fair deal too

I would be shocked if a 1st is not going the other way.

Big price for DAL, but they are in win-now mode, and this strengthens their forward group, and adds depth on D (which is never bad in the playoffs).
Good trade for them.

DAL has no cap room though - there has to be some retention and some cap management with the deal.
Granlund and Ceci are a combined $8.5M

Nice return for the Sharks here and I don’t love it for Dallas if this is their big swing with all their cap space I would think they would go after someone bigger. Granlund has been very productive for the crappy Sharks but I am not sure that will translate to a good team?

Aren’t they swimming with space with Seguin out all year?

Teams wanting to get players into the new cities before the 2.5 week break is a good idea if it can be done.

Do they get cap relief from Heiskenen being on LTIR? They might be pulling a Stone if he’s out till playoffs.

I have been using CapWages, and it sucks - it doesn't even have Seguin on LTIR.
But you are right of course, thanks.
Can anyone recommend something better than CapWages? (I miss Capfriendly)

SJ have done a really good job rebuilding the value of some players. Who'd have guessed they could get 1st+ for those when they acquired them?
