Embarrassing that he wasn't there from the start.

As a fan of Harrison Brunnicke, it sucks he's done and the one that loses out on this WJC roster. I really wanted the Flames to snag him with their 2nd 1st rounder last year.
At any rate, now Zayne has a shot to show TC brass theyade a horrible mistake leaving him off the primary camp invitee list by owning that camp and making the team. Go get em Zayne!

It would be great if he made the team and ended up being the best Dman at the tournament.

Naw.
Declining out of spite would be a bad call.
Take the opportunity and prove them wrong.

Steve Staios must be seething.
Glad to see Parekh is getting his shot. He deserves it.

What a rollercoaster. What an exciting holiday season this would be if I was able to look forward to watching Parekh play some WJC hockey.

Apparently he broke his wrist last month... I had no idea (or did and completely forgot).
I guess hockey canada was hoping he'd be ready by now, but that's a tall order with an injury like that

I seem to remember a certain local #12 being a late add to the 2002 Olympic Team, and completely slaying it…

Exactly. If he lights it up he is going to make them all look incredibly bad.

Travis Green was quoted in that story about Yakemchuk's omission: "I’m a little bit surprised that there are 10 guys (in Canada) better than him."
You're right Travis... it's 11 guys!

They better not do him dirty and just invite him to camp & not select him.

IIRC he was not invited to the camp (which happened in the summer) but by the time the team was picked he was killing the league.

he wasn't originally short listed for camp. Gagne got hurt or was sick or something and Iggy was kicking around town so they let him come
