I actually thought he was pretty good in pre-season, but that is all I know about him.

I do like to see the organization reward guys for hard work though

I guess the good thing about this is the only person he theoretically should replace in the lineup is Rooney. But was hoping for a younger guy

Love this! Captain gets the call up, AHL tweener getting rewarded for some great play this year. I think that sets a good example

Already eclipsed his old best season in the ahl by 5 points with 29 less games played. I think he earned it.

I am loving the opportunities that some of these guys are getting this year, and especially ones that deserve it. Really refreshing!

Good candidate for 4C next year assuming they let Rooney walk. Only 28 years old so saves us a couple years on 31 year old Rooney

Meh. He’s an older tweener player that hasn’t stuck in nhl yet. I have my doubts he will. As for rewarding players like him and hunt for their play doesn’t mean much to me. Of course they are playing well in the ahl. They are grown men going against young boys who are dipping their feet in water for the first time.

At least he is already replacing Rooney tonight.

But is there a young guy on the farm suited for the 4C slot at the moment, assuming that’s what they want?

Well it seems like Huska doesn't think Kerins is suited for 4th line deployment (he wants more of a physical grind 4th line, than a young sheltered scoring 4th line).

So from that sense I think Bishop makes sense. He's been legitimately noticable in the Wranglers games I've watched this year and plays a game well suited to that type of physical 4th line.

Should get into the lineup tonight too. Vet, won't need the practice time.

Edit - I missed the tweets that he'd be playing!

Bishop's pretty handy in a tight situation.
