Home/Room Design Software
Hey all - Looking for some recommendations for a home/room design software which is easy to use, economical, and can do some basic blueprinting type designs. Essentially, my use case scenarios are:
1. Looking to do a mock up for our unfinished basement renovations, that I could then review with a friend who's a contractor, and then submit to the city for approval. I would need the ability to put in electrical outlets, wiring, lights, vents, etc. I'm not looking for something super technical, but good enough that it'll have measurements etc.
2. Looking to do more of a design based mock up of some existing areas on our main floor that I'd like to do some renovations to. This wouldn't need outlets etc. but just ability to do cabinets, closets, and such.
I've looked a little bit at Arcadium3d (), which might fit the second scenario, but I don't think it does outlets etc.
I'm not looking to do a SketchUp or AutoCad as I don't have the time to sit down and learn it.
