Annoying someone via the Internet is now a federal crime.
It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.

This could just start a whole new batch of frivolous lawsuits. Do you really want your trolls to disclose their true identity? How long until someone is actually arrested for trolling anonymously?

I'm posterchild of not being annoyed by trolls, I find them funny as they say the most generic things and people get worked up about it.

I don't even think it is possible to take someone to court over this.
Even if you do get the IP of the computer that the user is posting "anonymously" from, there is way to prove that person actually posted said message on the internet.

It could be the same thing that the RIAA lawyers are running into when suing private citizens for (C) infringement. No way to actually "prove" that they where the ones downloading songs.
