Vancouver Canucks Update…
January 09, 2006
Injuries put a damper on things for the Vancouver Canucks, but Radek Dvorak is back with the team. He will be a game time decision for tonight’s tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes, but has re-joined the team. The Canucks are still in hunt for a playoff spot and this will not change.
The Canucks made a trade last night, sending LWer Darren McCarty to the Pittsburgh Penguins for RWer Martin Rucinsky. The Canucks need some extra fire power and are hoping Rucinsky game provide the team with some extra scoring.
In the dog house: Mike Zigomanis. GM Mango has mentioned that they are actively perusing trading him. She’s available on MSN. As for a return, she’s looking for a similarly rated forward and but not older than 30.
A contract extension? There are rumors circling the CPHL that GM Mango is working on a contract extension for one of her prized players. That is all the information known at this time.
