LEGACE NOW A PREDATOR

The Predators are pleased to announce the acquisation of goaltender Manny Legace and defenceman Sean Brown from the Colorado Avalanche.

In return the Avalance recieve goalie Jocelyn Thibault, defenceman Mike VanRyn, prospect Alexander Suglobov and Pitsburgh 3rd rounder in the summer draft.

The Preds hesitated in involving VanRyn but to get a true number one goaltender they had to include him.

"Many Legace is one of the best and we are very pleased to acquire him," said GM Schum.

The Avs wish Legace the best. He is having a breakout year and will be a nice addition in Nashville.
We look forward to solidifying our D and adding a prospect in this deal. We also hope Thibault can return to form - that will make or break this deal.
