Thankfully the score is backward here. Good game by the Flames - it wasn’t a masterpiece but it was beautiful.

Thanks as always. really appreciate the Wrangler updates, saves me tons of time.
I especially enjoy reading these when I was at the game. I miss more watching it live it seems, as I don't realize what players are doing what without the play by play. I read these to see if the fancy stats match the eye test. Last night it did, but not always.

I thought Huberdeau had a really good game overall.
I thought Bahl had a terrific game, and he was very deserving of his 1st goal as a Flame.
Kind of surreal in the crowd. The ceremony was great - including Canyon's song - but people just couldn't get charged up afterwards. Might have been the quietest game I have ever been to, but that didn't seem inappropriate. It was different. It was a specail night, and not at all a typical game.

Kadri was probably the best Flame (though frankly that was a pretty bad dive he took).
I think Zary struggled on that new line. Not Coronato's best game - he tried a lot of east west skating at the blue line and didn't go to the net as much.

Yeah, pretty bad dive by Kadri, though it was a penalty.
On a more general note, there are plenty of games where I feel the reffing has completely jobbed the Flames, but last night was the opposite - a couple soft calls on Columbus (especially the one late in the 3rd that sealed it), on top of the dive.
Last night was the rare game where the refs seemed to be on the Flames' side.
