Wow, he is a bit of a project right now, but a 23 year old former 1st rounder right shooting center.... I would have done that for the Flames probably.

I wouldn't have minded Conroy making that trade. Worth while gamble, on a player who might still have some upside.

Tomasino sounds like an Italian Pasta.

IIRC Tommasino is the Sicilian don who helps Vito kill Don Ciccio and protects Michael when he's on the run.

2019 was truly a crap draft year, half the 1st round either traded or no longer playing in NA.

As a comp, I would imagine that put's Pelletier's value at around a 4th/5th rounder.

4th round pick seems to be the going rate for underperforming 2019 first round selections. First Podkolzin, now Tomasino.
Quick, get Anaheim and Buffalo on the phone and get Zegras and Cozens right now!

Incompatible with Slovakian dishes, according to Conroy.

damn. I would have loved to take a flyer on him if that's all it took ... either way, good for Tomasino to get a fresh start.

Pelletier may still get the benefit of the doubt from GMs who know he hasn't had much of a shot due to numbers and injuries. And Sutter.
Whereas Tomasino has more of a track record (of poor performance).

I guess the Flames are superstitious about trading 4th round picks given a couple of yields they have returned gor them in prior drafts?

Paging Sandman, he was a pretty big Tomasino fan. I would've loved to be in on this one as well.
That said, I was sure Parssinen would be the odd man out. He was in the coach's dog house for the first 2-3 weeks.

Also it's kind of interesting that both Glass and Tomasino end up in Pittsburgh.
Tomasino, Glass, 3rd, 6th for a 4th feels like pretty tidy work by Dubas TBH. Took on two U-25 RH shot centers that were no risk, potential high reward for a combined $3.4M cap hit and comes out with extra picks from the whole thing.
Would have loved Conroy to be in on either one of those two moves.
