Flames 5 Jackets 1
Flames 5 Jackets 1
- Kadri with a goal in game 1000
- Flames lean on Wolf more than score would indicate
- First win streak of the season.

Surprised Klapka's numbers were so bad - he looked like he had a very good game.
I loved how Kuznetsov didn't get intimidated in the 3rd period while guarding Oliver. Oliver went hard to the net, and Kuznetsov stayed with him the entire time, using his strength and size to keep him out. It was a nothing play - puck didn't come anywhere close - but I thought it was impressive of him to more or less contain Olivier there.

Yeah I thought he was doing a great job boxing out all game. I noticed it several times including the one you mentioned. Hopefully he is going to be a solid blueliner.

When you lead the whole game...especially early the shots usually look like this. Its been the other way lots of times this year

I think that certainly explains the 14% third period with a four goal lead.
But the first 1/3 of the second with the Flames up a single goal had Wolf the hero as he stopped a lot of grade A chances and kept them up.
Different game if he's not rock solid.

I wondered how separating Huberdeau and Kadri would work but in the last two games it's been OK. And it's not bad to see who fits with Huberdeau in the event Kadri moves on. Frost is a puck carrier, and decent at zone entries so that's good for Huberdeau. Add Gridin to snipe in the future and that seems like an OK line.
Farabee looks like he could take Coleman's place if they trade him.
With Kuznetsov looking good, the Flames D future looks OK, with Bahl, Parekh, Kuznetsov, Brzu, and with Weegar being the veteran.
