Coronato sticks in the top six.
Miromanov back to the top four.
Rooney vs Kirkland begins.
Both goalies traded.

Was disappointed to hear that Barrie had a poor game on his first shot to get into the lineup. Hopefully, he cleans that up and finds a way to get back in more permanently. His skillset would be very helpful to this team.

I enjoyed Barrie watching Weegar skate off the ice Saturday, and then passing to his empty spot.

Still think they should flip Coronato and Zary to better balance the top 9.
Huberdeau - Pospisil - Mantha
Zary - Kadri - Kuzmenko
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato
Let's everyone actually play their preferred wings and I think Kadri could use some time with Zary who he has proven chemistry with.

Very risky maneuver, hopefully the return was good.
I'm surprised no one started a thread to discuss these trades.

Getting serious about the tank now.

I'm still not impressed with what I've seen from Pospisil at center. He brings more on the wing.
Zary is a natural center and could look good between Huby and Mantha.

Although I somewhat agree, center is hard. Pospisil has been holding his own so far, sure it will get better with more reps.
Hes definitely fast enough and has the hockey IQ to be a good center. More time at the position will tell.

Going with the empty net for an extra attacker for the rest of the season. This way, both Rooney and Kirkland draw in.

Kirkland is making it hard to send him back down. I love what he brings to the 4th line. Huska has also been using him on the PK, which shows a lot of trust in the player. Having another center that can be on the PK sure helps as it can give some of the bigger guns a rest during the game.

Kirkland doesn't have to go anywhere. He can swap in and out with Rooney. Hanley is sitting in the press box every night, completely unnecessary to the roster and unlikely to be picked up if/when waived.

Something to monitor should another injury arise, would be the hot start Pelletier is having with the Wranglers as well. Here's hoping he carries it forward and forces the Flames to call him up in the coming weeks.

Great thing is they can return him anytime even without a receipt.

I don't think they ever said what specifically Yegor has, but I'm guessing high ankle sprain.
