Sad that Pinder and the boys won't be able to do the Duehr holler on Barnburner

I'm not sure I want Tinordi playing with our D-prospects

Sad to see Tinordi go. He had a strong effort last night.

I actually thought Hunt looked pretty decent in preseason. Hope he doesn't get claimed as I think he's a steady guy for the Wranglers, and is fine for a spot call up

Tinordi was really bad
Duehr continued his dissappearing act post year one.
I thought Hunt may have had a chance.

Klapka and Honzek still in the running.

It's a bummer about Duehr's regression. He still has some very good qualities, but just can't seem to make a positive impact on the game anymore. Klapka will do more with those minutes than Duehr will.

Hunt is still not too bad a player, but just not as good as the other guys on the roster. He's a good call up for injuries, sort of like Duehr and Morton. Frk will be a recall should we need a replacement for one of the top lines.

Tinordi...yeesh. The less said the better. Almost every single prospect we have at camp was better than him.

Time to bump the Walker Frickin' Duehr thread that's not quite 18 months old

That was sarcasm. Please, nobody actually do that

It is a different era. In the Nik Grossman era Tiinordi would have been a shoo in

Certain CPers can't help but create a "frickin'" thread for every depth forward who shows a little success. It's a CP tradition!

Duehr's first year was a surprise to me. I always expected him to be an AHL player who may get a game or two in the NHL. It was great to see him jump in and play so well and that makes his current play a disappointment because he set higher expectations that he couldn't sustain.

I recall reading the Tinordi piece when he was brought it. I think he understood what was being asked of him and that AHL was likely.

EDIT: here it is

Quote:
“I think there’s opportunity there,” Tinordi told Postmedia of the potential fit with the Flames. “I think I can help this team. There’s some young defencemen that, from what I understand, are either coming up or already there, and hopefully I can help those guys along and, at the same time, play my game and make an impact.”

With duehr being waived I would have to think klappa has made the team. Seems like the best suited for the 4th line position IMO.

I think we will see Hunt called up to play the Oilers. That dude likes to smash them against the boards which pleases me greatly.

He needs a Sutter kind of coach to really get his speed and gritty play going.

Perhaps he's one of these guys who gets fired up after a call up. "There are two Granlunds??" was like this too
