I wonder why Sportsnet loves the Bruins so much

Seems we get a lot of Bruins games

Nick Schmaltz must be the new Andrew Cassels - no goals in 21 games.

DeBrusk scores against his former team,
1-0 Canucks. That second period goal is holding up for the Canucks with the shutout watch on for Lankinen.

Montembault is performing better as he has faced 26 Utah shots in a 2-2 tie. The Gabs only have a dozen shots on net.

Canadian teams have a 12 shot quota tonight? Habs and the Uoots heading to OT. Habs have just 12 shots after 3 periods

Would suck to be a Bruins fan rn. Imagine doubling the shots against your opponent and being shut out with the GWG going to DeBrusk a former Bruin.

Noticed that Valimaki has been a healthy scratch the past 4 games despite missing Durzi and Marino from their blue line

The highlights show Lindholm missing the net from right in front in the dying seconds.

Shut out four times and no third period goals at home since the first game of the season. Lean times in Beantown.

Consider how many good years they had with two elite 2 way Cs in Krejci and Bergeron

Lindholm is good… but a light version of either, his best years he benefited significantly from Gaudreau, and even if he was that good, he’s only one guy

Marchand is not getting younger and misses those guys

Boston is post apex

Kind of funny that two tandem goalies who benefitted short term on the tail end of a strong decade cashed in and are paid as top #1s

?

How good do you think I implied he is?

I pretty much was overly diplomatic, said he benefitted from Gaudreau … gave him the benefit of the doubt as a possible but lesser replacement for not one but 2 elite centres.. and noted that Boston gets worse

Really not sure how to respond because even if he was good he can’t replace Bergeron and Krejci and offset Marchand’s decline

He should be close to $7.75m good in the first year of a 7 year deal, 3g and 10 pts in 23 games as a 1st line center says he sucks.

Lindholm is a good 2C that needs to be carried by his wingers. The comparisons of being Bergeron light is laughable. Forget that he can’t carry a line his defensive metrics don’t come close.

So glad he got greedy and shipped away. At least Huberdeau works hard. Lindholm was sulking all season.
