Theres a place on 3rd street...theres another one, I think its also on 3rd street, and as a matter of fact thats just the Murphy Bed district right there on 3rd.

Sorry for the derail but this reminded me of the Murphy Ladder and their awesome ad. What the hell happened to these - are they illegal in Canada? Too dangerous? Blocked by the french language police?
I've see them still available in the US but what's the hold up here?

You don't include the murphy bed with the house. You sell the house, minus the murphy bed. Take the proceeds from the sale of the house, and ship the murphy bed to Nova Scotia!

I don't know if Superior Wall Beds is any good, but they give me the stinkeye when I park in front of their store when I go to the lab next door. So take that for what it's worth.
I’ve been searching marketplace for a Murphy bed for a while. There is a VERY common scam here in the city for a cheap $300-550. The idea is placing a quick deposit to secure the unit then they ghost you.
I almost got taken as I got caught up in the excitement of a smoking deal then I went to check their profile and it was a 2024 join date, single photo and nothing else.
Be sure to vet your sellers, I got lucky that I didn’t push send on the e transfer

Surferguy, my dad bought a kit and built his own. If you are interested in doing that I can find out where he got it. Custom!
I’ve done a few in the past as well Fuzz. Lee valley sells the kits and they are great quality. This will likely be the route I go when this project surfaces again.
Im just being lazy and trying to save the time to do it.
They are not a very involved build. Its pretty straight fwd

This is the laziest re-telling of this joke I've ever seen on this site.
You needed a couple of marginally amusing store names in there, and it's a murphy bed store so there's lots of options.
"Nothing really mattress"
"Fold up your dreams"
Etc.
For shame sir, for shame.

I wouldn't buy one second hand. They are made from particle board, are fixed to the wall and have much assembly required to install/uninstall.
We got ours (and one for my mom's condo) online (Costco I think, but they are all the same flat pack boxes so shop around).
The one thing to look for is how far they swing into the room. The hinge is near the front edge, so they end up being deeper than you might think when you're figuring out what will fit in a smaller room. The one we got for our place has attached cabinetry which looks nice and has decent storage/functionality.
