That landing spot makes the most sense to me TBH
Wonder if Josh Anderson could be going back to Columbus...or maybe Armia heading back the other way.

Buy Laine low coming off mental health / injury plagued seasons, give him offensive minutes and powerplay time, move him as a UFA for more assets than you paid for him.

Always gross when interesting players go there.
MTL is a vortex of no good and players wind up being forgotten and irrelevant.
Hoped he would go somewhere that would be a great match for his skill set like Dallas.

Saying that about the Montreal Canadians of all teams is wild lol. Sean Monahan was cast aside here and become relevant there again

That seems like a pretty one-sided trade to me. Looks like no retention, but even still... I would have done that trade in a heartbeat, then get him going offensively, then trade him with retention, for a haul.
