Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2024 - Round 8
Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...
1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Basha, then I'm torn on Morin vs Stromgren.
Misa and Mews are still on the board too.
Feels weird to be 8 rounds into the rankings and still have players that I feel could be really good NHL players.

Basha
Grushnikov
Battaglia v Morin v Stromgren... hm
IMO Pelts was too high. Like the player but lack of progression and injuries have made his future prospects questionable.

Looks like this is going to start getting really interesting ... Gridin voters going to Basha over Morin?
We had a family anniversary party up at Silver Star (Bingo and Bingo Jr win the ping pong title) all weekend, nice to have some focus on the CP annual summer ritual again.

I like the Basha pick value wise. Looks like he is great off the rush, but honest question....do his skills translate to NHL? Seems like a perimeter player from little i have read and watched. Some comparison to Point but Braden Point seems to go into traffic more.

Stromgren for me this round. It sounds like he looked pretty awesome in camp this year.

Morin for me. I see him topping out as a #2 defencemen, or a very good #3, with a nice high floor as well. He is the closest thing to Giordano. Other defencemen may have a higher offensive ceiling perhaps other D are a bit better defensively, but this kid is the only one in the organization that is good in every zone.

It's strange the Wranglers didn't play him in the playoffs then. Anyone knows what was the reason behind it? *Paging Scorp*
Maybe Trent Cull preferred more experience in the likes of Oesterle, Poolman, and Pysyk.

Is Solovyov not getting enough votes? You guys are lovin Grush but isn’t Solo like a Grush but a few years ahead on progress?
