Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2024 - Round 13
Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...
1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Third straight round voting Mews ... feel bad that I missed out on Grushnikov!

Mews again, then Misa for me. Misa would be the first centre on the list. I really hope the Flames pick some great centre prospects in the 2025 1st round.

Maybe this can go here. A look back at Mackinnon's first thoughts when his Avs drafted this Makar kid from the AJHL.

Solovyov should get some love around now. High floor.
I could have also gone for Suniev or Battaglia here

Boy, it's tough now! Mews for upside? Battaglia for a great camp? Solovyov for likelihood of playing the most games with the big club this season of the remaining players? Klapka to a lesser extent?
Think I'll go with Solovyov.

I voted Battaglia. I know nothing about him, but I think Sandman thinks highly of him… so that’s my vote.

Mews here. I’m still in utter shock and disbelief that we got him, he was one of the first profiles that I wrote this year, because I liked him so much. He probably should be higher up this list, and it’s a testament to the unfathomable depth we have in this organization for D prospects that he’s a bit of an afterthought. This kid will end up being as good as any of our young D not named Parekh, IMO.
I have no idea who to pick next round between Battaglia and Suniev, but I’m leaning Battaglia for the better two-way game, and much more robust physicality.

I'm dying on the Lipinski hill at this point and no one can convince me otherwise.

Went Misa last round, but after reading a lot of the responses, I've been swayed to Mews.
Misa next round.

Blue Chip (No doubt NHLer with high likelihood of being a star player)
Parekh
A level (High likelihood of NHL career, possibility of being a star player)
Wolf
Coronato
Brzustewicz
Morin
A- Level (moderate possibility of NHL career and possibility of being a star player)
Poirier
Honzek
Basha
Gridin
Suniev
Stromgren
Mews
Misa
Sergeev
B+ level (high likelihood of NHL career but low possibility of being a star player)
Pelletier
Grushnikov
Kuznetsov
Solovyov
Lipinski
Battaglia
B level *new category* (moderate possibility at NHL career and low possibility of being a star player)
Schwindt
Klapka
Bell
Jurmo
Hurtig
Jamieson
Okhotiuk
Morton
Yegorov
C level *new category* (longshot prospects with some upside or runway left)
Laing
Hoskin
Kerins
Littler
Ciona
Ignatjew
Zarubin
D level *new category* (prospect washouts)
Boltmann
Chechelev
Koumontzis
Current pick in bold. I think Suniev will be a bit of a sniper at the NHL level.

I've been voting for Mews from round 2 on, finally he's going off the board.
There are still so many good prospects, for next round. It would probably be between Suniev, Misa, and Battaglia for me, based on potential.
I still don't know when to vote for the likes of Klapka, Morton, and Solo. All of whom I see as future NHLers.
