People are aware that he's touching 40 right? That is not when you hand a pro-athlete nearly $3M. Even for just 1 year.
He's been bought out. Twice I think actually...(not sure on that)
WTF is wrong with NHL GMs?

Depends what the performance bonuses are for. I haven't seen anything about that yet.
If he doesn't make the bonuses, he's getting league minimum.

True. But in experience they're usually easy bonuses like....play 30 games, etc.

Good deal, league minimum and hit those performance goals to get more. This is low risk for the Blues IMO. Dude is an Ironman.

Yep. On the books for Minnesota, Dallas and now St Louis. So if he reaches his bonuses and Blues are up to the cap (pushing the bonus amount to next year) he could technically be on the books for three teams next year and not be playing for any of them

Good for him.
If GMs are going to keep giving him money, it's rude of him not to take it.

The Blues still have over 7 million in cap space and their roster is pretty much set. Don't think the cost matters that much, bonuses or no.

He's getting old, but has won me some money. I always said his career would last longer than Webers. I like him and I'm happy for him. 3 teams paying you at the same time means he's crushing it.

Agreed. But I've been around too long to bet too much on ‘usually’.

More like “When you hit age 40, it’ll be pretty difficult for you to stop Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon. Not guys LIKE them, but literally those dudes. Which is part of the ask when you play at this level.”

Gives StL 6 lefty d.
Andy Strickland thinks one of the existing d won’t be back. They tried to trade krug last year. No arb cases so will have to be a trade.

It’s pretty difficult for any player of any age to stop those two. Third-pairing D aren’t normally expected to face that level of opposition.
