I assume they expect to give him a chance of being at least a 1A and want to be rewarded with a reasonable contract if he pans out. I think the talent is there, I worry about the health.

Worth mentioning that this will be for the 25-26 season. This season he is his last cheap year. I guess they are confident he will look amazing this year. Maybe the Leafs very own Binnington but meditates instead of being a psycho.

Solid deal. Woll hasn't had chronic issues. He's just had a series of unrelated injuries. This could end up being a very good deal for the Leafs. Not sure why Woll agreed to a three year deal. Could've done two and cashed in bigtime.

Presumably because it gives every incentive for Toronto to utilize him lots.

It also cements his financial security if things go sideways.

If he becomes a star, the money will follow.

Your first $10M is quite a bit more important than your next $10M for these guys.
