Went against my own ranking for just this round because I like Lipinski's overall game. I think he projects to be a solid checking line center with a bit of offense thrown in. I'm going for a goalie after this round, likely Sergeev because I like his overall skillset and size.

Klapka again. I think were sleeping on a big middle six wing.

Went with Morton. I really liked what he's shown for the Wranglers last year.
I was debating between him and Klapka, but I see Morton as the safer option in the bottom 6. Klapka has a lot in his game that I like, mostly puck protection, hands, and size, that said, defensively he looked a little behind the play at the NHL level last year.

I don't see it with Klapka.
I think he's a solid AHL player, but it doesn't seem to translate when he gets NHL looks.
Went Lipinski.

No, I explained my reasoning in my post. Goalies are hard to rank above pretty sure bet guys to make the NHL.

I really like Lipinski. Like I've said before, I had the luxury to watch him play live a couple times this past year and he outshone Honzek every time. He has jam, killer on the draws, uses his body pretty well and has some underrated finish imo.
Has the tools to be a nice bottom 6 C for us one day.

Flames got a really good pool of prospects right now. Its lacking high end centers but is deep everywhere else.
The fact guys like Solovyov and Klapka are likely to play in the NHL this year but are coming in at 17/18 on the list speaks volumes.
This team has come a long way from the Eric Nystrom days.

Went Lipinski.

I think Klapka draws in for a game or two, but 23 is the start of a Forwards peak production. He's gotta put some big numbers up if he wants a look.

I had Klapka next on my list, but I am bumping up Lipinski and Hurtig, based on comments from others, and Hurtig's showing at summer camp.

I went with Klapka. He is a guy that I hope they find a way to create a very specific role for. He's got such great size considering his hands and skating are pretty good. If they can make use of him in an energy role on the fourth line and then potentially as a net front guy on PP2, I think he could help the big club be a little bit better. This season is his true shot, so hopefully he can establish himself.

Went with Sergeev. I have this weird gut feeling that the Flames are about to go on a bit of a hot streak with hitting on the goalies they draft in this current era.

For me, I just get the impression from him that he's got more determination than most other prospects within our system.
