Who cares. What happened happened. We need to move on here.
Only way Calgary ever wins a cup is by full commitment to a rebuild. I wonder how long it’ll take Murray to realize that because it’s obvious to most other people.

People let Tre off the hook way too much saying so much was out if his control.
He had multiple opportunities thay would have led to.kucjbetter outcomes and he didn't take them.
Not I.
I am perfectly aware that Treliving screwed this team hard and he screwed it long. He was an incompetent Buffoon.
And I am no 'Insider' but every single person I've talked to has indicated that Ownership never wanted him back. Which is why he wasn't allowed to negotiate with other teams.
The change of that decision came because his Dad basically begged for it.
And for whatever reason Toronto decided: "oh yes! That! Lets get us some of that!"
Treliving should have been fired a long time ago.

I think this all speaks highly of Coleman IMO, who mentions he just signed a 6 year deal. He could have been pissed and jilted and wanted out but he's been a complete pro.

He is talking about Johnny, and said they tried to negotiate a deal the summer prior which everyone knows about.
It's the same thing over and over again. He was not going to get a big deal after 2.5 poor seasons.
I wouldn't say they were poor seasons at just below a PPG and he was saddled with a Babcock clone in Peters and a guy that was out of his element as a coach in Ward. Treliving did what he always did when it came to contract negotiations and played hardball. Regardless it's in the past now and it's time to just move on.

A caveat to his contract negotiations is needed. He negotiated with players already on the team and overpaid UFAs. Even more frustrating
