Perrault and a 1st would make me sad because that's the kind of deal I was hoping the Flames could make.

I don't think we did............which is also why everyone is far too bent out of shape. Hanifin is not as valuable, and never was as valuable as a forward who typically clips around the point per game mark the past 6 seasons.
We are judging Conroy's trade on false parameters.

At the end of the day it's not much more than what we got for Hanifin.
1st + 3rd (possibly 2nd) + a prospect the Flames like Vs. 1st + recent mid 1st.
The gap is there, but it's not huge. Guentzel is going at a PPG+ pace this year, making it pretty much his 6th year in a row of doing so. He's pretty dang good.

The cope is crazy.
According to the homers we had a selke caliber 1C thay could score 40 and a top pairing 26 year old D.
Surely that has to be nearly as valuable as a ppg(playing beside crosby) winger

I would easily take perrault over conditional 3rd+Miromanov and I feel like the vast majority would agree
