Default The Year In Pictures

MSNBC slide shows for Editors Choices and Readers Choices for Photo's Of The Year.

Takes about ten minutes for the slides shows to roll through . . . . well worth your time.

Yeah I look at these every year. They are all very inspirational. Absolutely amazing to be in the right place at the right time. I could only dream.

I'm with Neeper, this is my dream job to wander around the world and take pics like this.

My favs are

Editors choice:
NYC downpour
The two table halves
Easter
The monks

Readers choice:
The porcupine fish
floral reflection
raindrops with gas prices

The shots from Iraq, Niger and Gaza are emotion packed photo-journalism.

Time Magazine: The Year In Pictures.

http://www.time.com/time/yip/2005/

If you go to the www.cbsnews.com I think there is a link on the right for their Year In Pictures as well.

Also, go to photo.net at http://www.photo.net/ and look at their top rated reader submitted pictures, link at the top left of the page.

Some very powerful and beautiful images, awe inspiring. I too view them every year. Being in the right place at the right time is part of it. Having an eye for the shot, the proper equipment, camera at the ready, and the knowledge of how to use it also factors in the equation.

I also like to dabble in the art.
