At end of the day, I know we're going to lose less than we win this year, but it was pretty entertaining game overall. Frustrating at times? 1000 percent. But Fun none the less.
Might as well enjoy ourselves until the retool is on in full force.

4-3 without the OT point would have been ideal lol. Exciting games while losing is perfect

Doesn't it feel like the Flames are full marks for effort but riding a bit of a wave of poor opposition goaltending to stay in games?

Feels like goal tending is just worse in general. Every game there are a few goals that the goalies on either team would want back.

The last two games, yes.
No sure about a wider sample size though.
I actually had turned off the game with 1:30 before the 4-4 goal. I guess I should know better with the current way things are. Timely saves but still trashy GAA

I have enjoyed watching the past two games even though they didn't win. I think Scorp said it in the post game thread but if a team is trending towards a high pick in the draft, this is the kind of hockey I would hope they play in high scoring losses.

Conroy really nailed the Sharangovich trade - this kid has all the tools and looks to be getting better and better and Toffoli is pretty much back to the typical Toffoli season after a hot start. With even a moderately useful PP Yegor would certainly be flirting with a 60 point pace.
It's easy to forget the team also has a 3rd rounder coming from that move as well. I really hope he can return another upstart young player for someone like Tanev or Lindholm this year as opposed to leaning solely on draft picks.

Flames need to offload Lindholm before his stock drops too much. What a crap contract season he's having.

Also, Flames dont have a single player with more than 1 PP Goal. Thats wild considering its over 1/3 through the season.

It's getting to the point where he must have asked a trade behind closed doors by now, right?
He's sewering his retirement contract being here and playing in this lineup. Dude needs a clean start and enough games this season to show he's better than this.

They each have 13 points, at even strength
Sharangovich has 3 pts shorthanded, and Toffoli has 8 on the PP

It's great to have a little good news for once ... hasn't been a lot of that in the last year and a half.
Sharangovich pop at the same time as Suniev in one corner.
Zary out of nowhere, while trading down twice and snagging Poirier in the other.

GOAT!

Poirier's injury is really unfortunate when you consider he'd certainly be playing in the bigs right now with our current D situation.

3rd rounder already used on Suniev ... Hockey East rookie of the week.

Yes, but the Flames goaltending hasn't been any better during these games.
Yesterday both goalies gave up more than they should have but I think the Flames well deserved their point.
