My wife and I are thinking of doing this, particularly with the Kitchener Rangers.
Just wanted to ask people here who have done the same what you think are pros and cons from your standpoint?
Highlights/Lowlights?
We've done it a bit short term during training camps and have friends that have had billets for the local Q team for years. They all have nothing but positive to say and years later are still in touch regularly with the boys and their families. They all have said that the billet really does become a part of the family.
We were on the other side of the coin this past August with our son headed off to his first training camp and headed to a billet. It is nerve wracking when you pull into the driveway and have no idea what you are sending your kid into (it was great)
