Know Your Enemy

The Stars have somewhat quietly gone about their business this season.

And that business is a 12-4-2 record, which has them third in the Western Conference and sitting in top spot in the Central Division.

Above them are the defending Cup champion Golden Knights and the surprise Canucks, with the surging Kings and always-in-the-mix-to-win-the-West Avalanche right behind them.

Captain Jamie Benn has tallied points (3-4--7) in his last four games against the Flames, including three consecutive multi-point performances. He leads current Stars skaters with 23 goals and ranks second with 42 points (23-19--42) in 41 career games against Calgary.

Really puts a human element to the guys. It's times like these you wonder if the group is really as close as this makes it seem. Sure, it's cherry picked, but it's always nice to see something like this for the guys we follow and cheer for

Hope it's an entertaining game and the kids get lots of ice time. Also hope the UFAs play in a way that ups the trade value.

I'm curious if the Flames can return to the level they were at in the third period against Dallas, which could be considered the beginning of their turnaround. At their best they can compete with teams like Dallas, so let's see if they can maintain their top level.

Hopefully Zary will be back and can produce some more magic.
