Hartman offered in-person hearing: Suspended 10 games
Quote:
Ryan Hartman has been offered an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety.
The Minnesota Wild forward is facing discipline for roughing against Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle.
The incident occurred at 20:00 of the second period in Ottawa's 6-0 win at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Saturday. Hartman received a match penalty.
He gone! (as legendary former White Sox broadcaster Ken Harrelson would say)
That has to be 5 games minimum, but I think 10 sends a good message. Not a hockey play, more of a rugby play...and even then it would probably be frowned upon.
He's already had 4 prior suspensions, often with some indication of intent to injure the other player in the exchange. Repeat offender with this kind of play.

Oh you mean the same piece of trash that cross checked Perfetti on a draw last year and got a slap on the wrist even though he was caught on a mic saying what he was going to do? Then tossed a stick at an official the next game? He's a piece of ####.

That’s no rugby play, you’d get sent off and probably a 20 week ban if this was done on a (professional) rugby field
This is straight out of the WWF

Ok DOPS, you heard us. Do your jobs or else. 10 games minimum for that little POS Ryan Hartman, or we lose our shat.
Once a player is a deemed a repeat offender, the team that he plays for should be required to match the fine plus forfeited salary and it should count against the cap. The next fine/suspension the team should be penalized 2x the fine plus forfeited salary and it should continue to escalate with the potential to forfeit draft picks upon future incidents.
The league needs to get guys like Hartman, Wilson, etc out of the game entirely and turning them into major financial risks for any team looking to acquire them is one way to do it.
