Some NHLers are "suitcases" that have been a lot of teams because they are often sought after by numerous teams.
I don't think this is one of those cases.

Maybe its his dad again. Habs fans say his dad ruined his hockey career by controlling his every step, telling him not listen to coaches, telling him not play in positions the Canadiens wanted to develop him into, etc. inteferred with everything.

He was with Arizona in 2018-19. It is Arizona so possible they don't have any carry-over in anyone with knowledge of the player from 4-5 years ago.

3 MTL C Alex Galchenyuk
4 NYI D Griffin Reinhart
2012 has produced some good players (Rielly, H. Lindholm, Dumba, Trouba and Forsberg all went between 5 and 11), but those top 4 ... yikes. Hard to think of a worse draft class. Edmonton might as well throw Galchenyuk a lifeline and complete the set after having the other three on the roster at some point too.
