This referee in the Caps Panthers game is ####ing pathetic. Two obvious missed calls for high sticks/trips on Florida players when staring right at it.

Meh, that's not the issue from what I saw. Only saw the third but one banked in off Gio, the goalie whiffed playing the puck on another, and odd man rush for the third goal in the third.

With that forward talent there should be nonissue. Marner with giveaways and plays oh so soft, Tavares useless and also a giveaway machine, Nylander good when he has lots of room, only Matthews is a guy that will get dirty to create or keep a chance alive.
Bertuzzi and Domi barely there Jarnkrok has the longest scoring streak on the Leafs now at 4 games, goes to show the offense the Leafs have.

Yeah the refs seemed very random with their calls today. Though it was a sloppy game again by the Panthers so I guess you can't complain too much. The better you play, the better the calls, or so it seems.

Leafs fell to the old trope of needing to get tougher to play against. You can't just add tough guys. That's just not how it works.

Having a big oaf on the ice for 12 minutes a night allowing the other team to score against you doesn't make the other team scared. If you want to be a tougher team to play against, your big minute guys need to be tougher to play against. There's no substitute. Adding Ryan Reaves just makes you worse. That's it.
