I'll update this thread as the countdown continues and try to include anyone with a (direct - ie: current/former players, not Oilers etc) link to the Flames link.

NHL Network reveals best of the current crop.
NHL Network is getting ready for this season by ranking the top 50 players in the League. Researchers, producers and on-air personalities compiled the list, and players 50-41 were revealed Sunday in the fifth of a nine-part series.
Hamilton, who signed a seven-year contract with the Devils on July 28, 2021, scored 22 goals last season to tie Barry Beck's single-season record (1977-78) for a defenseman in Devils/Colorado Rockies/Kansas City Scouts history. Hamilton also was second on New Jersey in assists (52) and third in points (74) while averaging a Devils-high 21:46 of ice time in 82 games. The 30-year-old led NHL defensemen in game-winning goals (seven), and helped the Devils set team records for wins (52) and points (112). He scored in overtime to give New Jersey a 2-1 win against the New York Rangers in Game 3 of their best-of-7 first-round series, which the Devils would win in seven games.
"Volume shooter," NHL Network analyst Mike Johnson said. "It's a skill and it's worth getting pucks to the net from the point and be able to score goals from the blue line and Dougie Hamilton is as good as there is in the NHL at both of those things."
In his first season with the Panthers, Tkachuk tied for sixth in the NHL with 109 points (40 goals, 69 assists) in 79 games and was third in voting for the Hart Trophy as NHL most valuable player. He was even better in the playoffs, setting Panthers records for goals (11), assists (13) and points (24) in 20 games to help Florida reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1996. The 25-year-old left wing scored four game-winning goals in the postseason, including the series-clinching goal in the final seconds of the third period of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes.
"Kind of forced a trade (from the Calgary Flames), got the big contract (with Florida)," Johnson said. "A lot of players would have a hard time dealing with that kind of pressure. And he goes in there and starts playing fantastic. … And then you think, what is he going to do in the playoffs. … Then he goes in the playoffs and puts on a show for the ages … just sort of willing his team, the underdog Florida Panthers, all the way to the Stanley Cup Final."
I don't really watch the east so hard to comment on him - as far as RNH he is a solid player but he doesn't belong anywhere near a top 50 list like this until he shows he can do it again and the 104 point guy is who he is productivity wise, he has been in the league 12 years and has had one exceptional season before that he was around a 50 point a year guy for the previous 11 years
Nugget Hopkins it not a top 50 player in the league having him on the list is laughable. He literally milked being on a record breaking PP with McDavid to get a 100 point season which is like a 40 point increase from his previous career high.
Brady Tkachuk overrated. Kyle Connor underrated. Whatever, it's "this list is dumb" season.

Good call on Fox, could be there.
I think JG misses the list, as does Huberdeau. If Aho is already in the 40s, don't see how they make it based on last season.

Its why the list is so dumb.
No way RNH is on this list at the start of the year last year and Huberdeau and Gaudreau are on it and probably top 10 after 115 point seasons.
1 season doesn't make you a great player or the worst player to be excluded from this list.

It's really just a list of the 50 players with the highest stock at the moment. Is RNH a better player than some of the players outside of the 50? Probably not. But he stands a good chance of putting up a lot of points again because of the situation he is in.

Tkachuk was a beast last year and might deserve the top 5 slot, but if I were to pick anyone from Florida to trade for, I'm still taking Barkov ahead of Tkachuk
