Denis Gurianov strikes me as a guy who could be of interest here.

I would normally agree, but this is his 3rd organization he has troubles sticking to the NHL roster.

out of this batch, Jesper Boqvist is the one that interests me. Former 2nd rounder, 24 years old, center, had 21 points with the Devils last year.

Shane Bowers used to be a top prospect, but I guess the injuries have eaten into him. Tyce Thompson is Tage’s brother, and a Calgary boy who used to have real upside.
No idea what happened to Gurianov.

What’s up with Tyler Madden? Thought he used to be a highly touted prospect in VAN/LA.

Skating and size are not great.

Would Boqvist even be able to produce on our fourth line?
You can kind of tell that Huska has an idea for what he wants from his fourth line. He wants size as pace, that's why Schwindt is still here whereas Zary was sent down. Now I may be mistaken but isn't Boqvist more of a finesse style player?
I don't see the fit really unless you bring him in to battle with Rosie on the second line. Even then, once Pelts is back that spot is taken up.
Gurianov maybe could fit as the 4LW because he is big, fast and could help with entries. He has a heavy shot but is very inconsistent defensively.
I would rather take a flyer on Gurianov personally but who knows with waiver claims.

If Gurianov's GAF meter was as high as Ruzicka's, he'd be putting up 20 goals every year.

Trey Fix-Wolansky as a Phillips replacment? Shorter guy that was an absolute beast in the AHL last year.

He is also 2 years younger and 40+ lbs heavier than Phillips (same height).

They basically had the same AHL stats and he is younger
this is why people think Phillips is a tweener, nothing against the guy

Cale Fleury anyone?
RHD with offensive abilities and decent size.
Mostly I just want him to wear #14.

I think TFW has some traits that Phillips lacks. Phillips is tenacious and works hard, but TFW is a bulldog- strong on his skates, never backs down, and battles in the corners, along the wall, and in front of the net like he was a power-forward. He’s got meanness to go along with his skill. 5’7”and 180lbs.

That would be a riot. Theo would blame the “marxist, communist liberals”.
