feel like Alex Nylander's got a lot more chances than others due to family name and draft pedigree, but man, clock's ticking.

The Flames should claim Studenic and force him to be Pelletier's butler until he recovers.

I would take a look for sure.

He has some pretty good AHL numbers 25G, 50P, in 55GP. 34P in 93 NHL games played through his career.

He had pretty good analytics with PIT last year, Corsi 63%, Fenwick 63%, 64.9%xG.

I'd take a flyer on Alex Nylander too. He's right handed as well isn't he?

I want to take Kole Lind if only to take away one of Coachella Valley's top performers and give the Wranglers an easier time in the AHL.

Nylander is on a one-year league minimum deal, so zero risk. Worst case scenario is that you put him back waivers if it doesn't pan out.

Nylander is 25 and has only played 9 NHL games in the last 3 seasons. Hard pass.

Nylander is now in the category of Nigel Dawes, Jesse Puljujarvi, Nail Yakupov, etc. It's an offensive-minded forward who is not good enough for the top 6 but doesn't have the skillset for the bottom 6. Pass.

A Blues insider believes Calle Rosen and Nikita Alexandrov are going to be waived. Would gladly take either one.

Regardless, there will be players on waivers soon across the league who are better than Hunt, Schwindt, Klapka, Gilbert and Oesterle

THN Sept article had him pegged for 1st line with Pens, fwiw.

You guys think anyone will put a claim on Ralph Lavoie or Lane Pederson if they hit waivers?

Any veteran checking line centers? That's what the Flames might be shopping for.

Nylander has the skillset and ability to play on an NHL roster, he just needs more than just a handful of games to show what he can really do.
That sounds awfully familiar.

He did play about 75% of a full NHL season as a 21 year old and didn't put up horrible numbers for a player his age (prorated 33 points). For whatever reason, he has barely had a sniff since then.

Stastny?

ETA: Forgot which thread I was in - you probably meant a player who was or will be on waivers.
