Barre-Boulet looket pretty good in the pre-season games against the Panthers. I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting claimed.

I don't know what the future looks like for BSD but, with seven seasons in the NHL, he's had a pretty awesome run for a random goalie who was found by the Flames while they were scouting Daniel Pribyl

Was wondering if Alex Barre-Boulet was going to be waived. Guy has a lot of skill. Hasn't put it together at the NHL level. Similar situation to Matthew Phillips, only without the size issues. Definitely worth a look if you're in need of more skill. Would take him over Hunt in a #4 C role, although Barre-Boulet is a guy that will sink or swim with a top-six role and isn't well suited for bottom six minutes. But it is hard to overlook a guy that has been dominant offensively in the AHL.
