Default Tell me about: Mariners tickets in Seattle

The wife and I are going to Tacoma this weekend for the NoFX festival. Turns out, the Jays are also playing this weekend. I'm looking to get really cheap tickets for the Friday night game.

What are the best/safest options? I googled a few sites and a few sites have tickets for $20, while Ticketmaster has them for $37.

We're driving straight out on Friday morning, so I'm not too keen on the idea of driving there and trying to get walk-up tickets for a possible sell out or jacked up tickets.

Help me CP, where am I buying tickets from!?!?

I would use gametime, it's an awesome, safe ticket site. They have Friday night tickets starting at $12US right now. Best part is they have a very handy ticket map for each venue so you can see the prices hovering over various sections you may want to sit in.

A lot of decent seats in the $17-$35 range. Just remember it's all US dollars.

Apparently T-Mobile Park is selling Jays gear for the series this weekend, and Mariners players aren't happy about it ha-ha

Have fun! These Jays vs Mariners games are amazing to attend as the ballpark is completely taken over by Jays fans.

Taylor Swift is in Seattle Sunday - accommodations could be scarce.

I used seatgeek for baseball tickets in Boston and New York last year and that was pretty good. They too have a handy ticket map with seat previews, and lots of tickets listed for the weekend series.

This is definitely something to consider. I think only the ARMY would rival the Swifties in terms of fans at the moment.

I have a airbnb already booked, so a place to stay is covered.

Swifty is on Saturday/Sunday, so I won't have to worry about parking on a Friday night (I hope?

+1 for GameTime. I just used it in Pittsburgh for a Pirates game, and it worked like a charm
My food was more expensive than my ticket.

You’ll have an awesome time. Seeing the Jays in Seattle is one of my sports fan highlights.

Get there early for BP. The Jays were super engaged with the fans, we got several signatures and baseballs.

If you haven’t done so already book the ballpark tour on game day as well.

Have fun jerks. I went to a Jays/Mariners game years ago before I understood how much Toronto takes over the stadium, and as a Mariners fan it wasn't super fun feeling like the away team at home.

A couple of recommendations:

1) Jimmy's on First is a good spot to eat before the game, and has become notorious in recent years for Jays fans taking it over prior to first pitch. There is also a newish spot where Pyramid Brewery & Ale House used to be across the street from the stadium (now I think it's called Hatback?). I haven't been there but I went to Pyramid regularly as my office is close to the ballpark, and can't beat the location.

2) For tickets, I am a big fan of Terrace Club sections - especially for games against popular opponents. MUCH shorter concession lines, shorter restroom lines, and a great place if you're bringing kids and don't want to lose them in the sea of humanity that accompanies ballparks.

3) Figure out parking beforehand. It's not uncommon to have $50-$75 USD parking spots for Mariners games and I have routinely paid more for parking than I have for tickets. I like to take an Uber from my office for like $12 so if there is a place reasonably close to Seattle you can meet up with your friends and then Uber the rest of the way in, that's a way to go.

Not scarce so much as exorbitantly priced. I was looking at taking my wife down for the weekend but hotel rates were all triple the normal rates. I'm waiting for September instead and will go to a Seahawks game.

Some great advice in here guys. Much appreciated. The initial plan is to drive all day tomorrow, check for tickets along the way when he have a better sense of traffic. Then check into our AirBNB in Tacoma, then drive to the Angle Lake park and ride, and train it to the game. Is the Sounder line safe? or am I gonna need some bear spray and a rape whistle?

Every conversation I've had with an Uber/Cab driver when in Seattle...

"Where're you from?"
"Canada - Calgary"
"Are you Jay's fans?"
"No, Dodgers"
"Oh thank god"

Second slcrocket's suggestion on the Terrace Club seats. It is the best place I've ever sat in any of the dozen or so ballparks I've been to.
