Suniev. Again, not someone who promotes players based on their scoring exploits and likes to see kids play against men before anointing them anything special, but Suniev brings a blend of size and skill that is undeniable. The most enticing and exciting prospect we've had since Gaudreau was drafted. Kid has all the tools. Will be fun to watch him try and put it together.

I have him and stormgren neck and neck. Only reason stormgren won was we have him here and he showed well at rookie camp

Just my opinion and based on limited viewings but i think Kuznetsov is being over looked in these things to a large degree.
I think he pushes for a spot on the big club this year and also thinks he suprises many with how steady he is. Not a point producer or anything flashy, but a decent minute muncher that knows how to stay clear of trouble.

Solovyov for me, he took massive strides this past year and continues to improve.

Ciona. He may not be a top 6 player but we will love him regardless.

Kuz is next on my card. I actually see Kuznetsov as being ahead of someone like Morin because of his growth and success at the pro level. I see him making the jump this year when Hanifin is finally dealt during the season.

Suniev. The skills are clear, but he needs a higher level of competition to ensure that it isn't just dominating weaker opponents. He's got an NHL frame already which is encouraging. Could end up being a steal of a 3rd round pick.
Followed by Stromgren, Solovyov, Sergeev, and Kuznetsov, in no apparent order. That's the next group for me.

Also...when the hell did the Flames acquire so many Russian players??
I remember a time when it seemed like the club was allergic to them as a group.
Been a quiet lean that way recently apparently.

I'm a bit surprised that so many people are voting Kuznetsov.
Didn't Solovyov, the 7th round pick from the same year, outplay him both this year and last year?
To be fair, Solovyov is quite a bit older considering they're from the same draft year.

Conroy said he had an orgasm on Suniev so it’s him.
Nobody else stands out anyway

This is the stage of the poll when I am no longer sure who to vote for. I don't think many will make the NHL after this point but voted for Suniev.

I've gone with Suniev for basically two reasons. First, his skill level in highlights is obvious. Both passing and shooting look very high level. Secondly, the excitement with which both Conroy and Button had after selecting him is a bit infectious. I found that Conroy seemed even more excited about the Suniev pick than he was over Honzek or Morin. That's probably because they were trying to move up to get him and we're surprised he fell to them, but you could just tell that this guy has something really enticing about his game.
6'2", 197lbs. Can score and make plays. Reportedly plays just as hard away from the puck as he does with it. Has been committed to becoming a pro hockey player in the NHL since moving from Russia at 14.
Can't wait to see him in action for UMass.

For me it goes a little deeper then very uncertain for sure.
Love looking back at past polls to see who we had low that made it though.
2013 - Bouma, Ferland and Kulak all way down the list
2014 - Kulak and Ferland again, Jankowski
2015 - Andersson, Kylington
2016 - Rittich, Hathaway, Fox
2017 - Hathaway, Kulak, Ruzicka
2018 - Lomberg
2019 - Lomberg, Wolf

Solovyov was 26th on the list last summer. He should be the biggest riser. I'd vote him in the top 10
