Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!

As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Suniev. Not a real proponent of promoting unproven players but this kid has such an enticing skillset and something lacking in the whole system. Next step is going to huge for him, but he has all the tools to be an offensive force. One of the more exciting prospects we have IMO. Morin is in the conversation here as well, but I think Morin is behind Kuznetsov on making the blueline, so he falls on the list a bit.

If you don’t vote for a player multiple years post-draft with pro experience then you are clearly just enamoured with a shiny penny.

And so am I, as Morin is the far and away the best prospect on this list.

I honestly think prospects 1-7 will all be NHLers.

Suddenly our prospect pool looks almost half-ass deep. But then again, after this years draft most teams are probably saying similar things.

And I'd probably put Ronni at the bottom of that 3rd group (and after Solovyov). Then again, I know s**t.

I have been really uninspired by Zary. though, I would love to be wrong.

Tempted to go with Parker Bell here but Suniev is an exciting prospect who we could really hit the jackpot with - high, high offensive ceiling.

Morin is right there too. I badly want to see him at the pro level.

Morin is right there too. I badly want to see him at the pro level.

It's going to get really interesting when guys like Bell and Ciona are in the mix. Both seem to be progressing really well and seem to be flying under the radar, probably because they haven't gone pro yet.

Personally, Klapka is going to be on my radar pretty soon. I think he is going to have a trajectory like Walker Duehr, a guy not too many people ranked high, but made the NHL as a quality player. He had a really good camp last season and earned an extended look, and then really came into his own down the stretch and in the playoffs with the Wranglers.

Solovyov is another guy that I think might make it sooner rather than later.
