Hahahahahaha! Just what the Leafs need, an offensive D man who is brutal in his own zone. I wouldn't touch Klingberg with a 10 foot pole!

Keefe, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, and Reilly all back, and they bring in Reaves and Klingberg.
Way to double down.

Okay, I don’t know what the destination for Hanifin would be at this point.

Maybe Treliving is hoping if they ever play the Panthers again in the playoffs Klingberg can get Tkachuk to break his hand punching him again.

I don’t see the problem with Klingberg at all. I know his stick went down but he’s got an over average speed and can move the puck up so I think it’s solid if he’s your #3. Dollar value tbd once it’s announced but they need to build up the d after their contracts expired. So on the surface looks alright.

I wonder what the cap hit is at. Must be low, because the Leafs are going to be at the limit

I find the Matthews situation odd. Deep down I think there may be a secret deal in place where they want to ensure Nylander is signed as well before announcing both, but with all this time I have no idea why they couldn’t have come to an agreement with him. It’s not that complex.

4 million bucks. Wow, that is a decent chunk of change for a guy who will anchor your PP2.

4 million? For Kilingberg? Were the Leafs bidding against themselves for Reaves and him?

Does this not put them over the cap? And they only have 10 forwards signed to contracts.

Yup! He'll probably say the Ducks had to pay him $7M last season, and I landed him at a bargain price of $4.25M.
