Wouldn't have minded duche here for 3M (cheaper toffoli substitute)

Dallas sure has gotten some great deals in UFA in recent years..

Darn. I posted earlier that I was hoping the Flames would sign Duchene for this exact price. Would've been a nice piece to take a chance on.

Unfortunately the Wizard left the team no room to do anything without being forced into another terrible trade to dump cap space.

Even if we did make the same offer he would choose Dallas instead. Flames would have had to pay more term and/or dollars to entice him. Probably a lot more.
