I get why Montreal does this but why would Colorado?
They simply could of traded Newhook for any of the centres that they are going after.

Could definitely see them trading for either of them. If they bring back Compher, they don’t really need backlund. But if they don’t they could use him for sure.
Toffoli would be a good winger to fill in for Landeskog till playoffs. Could see Colorado acquiring both guys trading 27th overall and 31st overall.
