If the trade happens and he signs with L.A it should give us a base line. Hopefully lindholm will be worth more but it's debatable. PLD is younger I believe

If PLD signs an extension with LA, that leaves the Canadiens looking for their local Quebec born superstar……

(Half joking)

Ya, he’s younger. Also has had an attitude problem with both the teams he’s played for, and isn’t as good.

Villardi and Iafallo would be a weak return in my opinion. I am guessing some prospects also would be in the deal.

Winnipeg will be losing a bunch of scoring over the summer. I get them being interested in bringing players back. Score by committee. Agreed on the PLD GAF factor being low. Now drop him in LA? Oof.

obviously biased from a Flames standpoint, but I don't think it's particularly close between Lindholm and Dubois. Sure, PLD is younger, but that's about the only thing in his favour. Lindholm is a much better overall player when you factor in his 200 ft game, penalty killing and so on. Cherry on top is he's right-handed. Nonetheless, seeing the return for Dubois should give us a better idea of what the market for Lindholm might be.

I think the attitude stuff is overblown. I don't doubt he has one, but if he gets a proffered life style in L.A a good part of that will dissappear. Great city, great team and probably big money

Highly doubt the Kings give up both Villardi and Iaffalo

This a pretty compelling post.

I really want to see what L.A pays..

That’s still not someone I would trust is willing to give it his absolute all when the going gets tough. But you definitely have a point.

If it does work out the kings will be very competitive for a big window. Kind of jealous.

I am too, but at least it’s an extra team in division that can hopefully knock off the Oilers.

Lindholm is on a completely other tier than Dubois, who’s perpetually overrated for some reason.

Power F's like Dubois always take longer to hit their peak years (some longer than others), just look at Tkachuk as an example.

PLD looks to be hitting his now, so i fully understand the desire to acquire him by LA.

The return is so so as reported thus far, but not terrible.

Depending what Dubois gets on an extension $$ wise, this could be a hell of a deal for the Kings though.

Ya, I was in a real heated argument with one of my loser Oiler buddies the other day. He was going on about how they’re the greatest franchise ever. I was giving it to him, but it was irritating. He was also claiming McDavid as better then Lemieux already.
