I thought this was Buffalo's Olofsson for a minute and perked up, moving on...

Didn’t the Flames get Regehr as Future Considerations in the Fleury trade?

Pretty much.

The Flames were given a list of prospects to choose from but didn't have to choose right away. Tanguay was notably left off the list at the time.

IIRC The Flames were deciding between Regehr and another player (can't remember who) that's why they left it as future considerations to get the deal done.

Then I believe Regehr got in a serious car accident after the Flames decided on him. Still ended up being a great trade, Regehr was awesome.

I think it was Martin Skoula, but don't quote me on that.

It was 4 players they could choose from: Regehr, Skoula, Scott Parker (yikes) and Ramzi Abid.
Flames wanted Tanguay to be part of the available players, but the Avs refused.

Kinda an odd deal with that condition included. I can't recall another example of that.

Not the same situation, but iirc when Brashear was traded from Montreal to Vancouver, it was only on condition that he didn't play for Vancouver in their next game against Montreal, which I think was their next game (or the game after).
