Canes update
The Carolina Hurricanes are preparing for the Draft on Saturday. We’ve taken a holiday from work this year after not being able to participate last season. It’s work burning a vacation day for as it’s one of the most exciting days of the season
I’ll be available tonight, Friday night as well as the hours leading up the the draft Saturday. I will be participating in the draft through the forum as it’s free from distraction and I can better plan my picks and strategize my selection
I apologize for my silence the last bit. As many here that have been long time members know, I have heeling with vision issues for two decades now. Just as Covid hit I was put on a medication that I consider life changing. Even though a lot of the damage in my eyes is already done, things have settled and I know longer suffer the ups and downs that I used to. Well late last year I found reports that the government was planing to drop coverage for anyone taking this medication (and others). The last couple months on que I’ve received letters from the government and my medical coverage that it is indeed true. I fully understand their reasoning as the drug company have been charging insane amount as the have a patent on the drug. My medical cost for my meds have been 3400-3700 a month.
I do not want to change, I’ve spent 18 months legally blind in previous years leading to finding the medication. It’s a change I haven’t been looking forward to. I don’t want to gamble what vision I have left, the cost to my vision of the 17 years I took leading up to it was already too costly for me to risk.
I’ll post more tonight but I’ve had a difficult time breaking my silence and I owe everyone that
