I've been buying and selling things on eBay for about five years now, never had a problem.

Never bought or sold any tickets on eBay before though.

I've purchased 20 items on ebay so far, all ranging in price and type of product. No problems whatsoever. You just need to research before bidding, making sure his feedback is ok, and check his previous auctions. Sometimes you will see he won the item in another auction a few days earlier and is selling it an inflated price, with different description or wear.

Make sure they're not ticketfast tickets.

Only been ripped off once on Ebay, it was for a video game and only $12 so I wasn't really upset.

yes always check to see if seller is reputable. check their rating, and read recent comments to get a general idea of how the seller is. always ask the seller every single question you would like to have answered before bidding.

I've had no problems with my 4 transactions made on ebay, except one shipping incident, but i did finally get my product. shipping is just a pain in the ass with any online orders.

If you are buying tickets; insist on paying with Paypal, and use your credit card as the source of the funds. If you do get ripped off, you at least have a way of getting your money back.

I wouldn't say that is the worst case. Myself as a season ticket holder, if I was evil I could email myself the ticketfast tickets, and sell you the originals. I get into the Dome nice and early, and you get left outside with invalid tickets. Of course the oposite is they could sell you ticketfast tickets; and they be one of the many that the tickets were emailed to.

Myself, I wouldn't buy tickets unless the seller has a proven track record of at least 100 FB, with a percentage of at least 99.5, and a lot of recent feedback for ticket sales.

Keep in mind in school 97.5% was a good mark, however on eBay with feedback that is a failing grade IMHO.

I got my hands on some tickets w/o using ebay thanks to a certain mod on this site.

Its a bit decieving, the bids are like ~100.00 for the longest time and you think its a good deal, and then they shoot up to ~450.00 in the last hour.

Happy New Year!

Time for my annual beware of scalpers thread:

When buying tickets from scalpers be sure that the seat location/bar code/ticket info is somewhat concealed when you're purchasing these tickets. Scalped tickets can be deleted from the ticketing system, and you will be left out in the cold, or talking with a local police officer.

Be aware that the original ticket purchaser always has rights to those tickets since scalping is illegal. If you buy tickets from someone and he reports them stolen, then you will be out the tickets and the money, and likely have a chat with a police officer.

Other variations of the above scams exist, including selling duplicate tickets , etc.

Be careful...
