Seems not that long ago he was scoring a game winner in triple OT against the Bruins.

Really talented player.

When my children played minor hockey and were relegated to the bench, I would share the inspiring story (to me)of Klima with them. Despite being benched in the second period, Klima's perseverance led him to score the game-winning goal in the third overtime period of the Stanley Cup. Although I disliked the Oilers then (and still do today), his story taught an unforgettable lesson.

One of the players who had to defect from what was then Czechoslovakia. Klima was the first to defect directly to the United States. Previously Canada was the point of entry.
