Florida needs to beat Carolina in order to play Carolina in the playoffs.

That's a weird sentence.

It's essential that they avoid Boston. While I don't think they would get swept or anything, I really don't like their overall chances against them. Carolina scares me just a little less.

About the same as Carolina. Maybe a little better because Carolina can really play a shut down game. However Jersey can score in bunches which does not bode well for a mediocre defensive team like Florida.

Some Oiler intermission commentator (not sure who, some mega overweight dude) just insulted the Flames noting how the Oilers 4th line have more points than Lindholm and Huberdeau and that's why one team is in the playoffs and the other isn't, then hardy laughs all around.
