CP member Northendzone has passed away
It really sucks to have to make a post like this after we had one recently for Regular75.
Over the weekend Northendzone (Ross) passed away from a heart attack while riding his bike.
I'd chatted bikes with him numerous times and because we lived close to each other, our paths would cross while we out on our bikes. He loved talking about bikes and bike related gear.
In a bit of a twist of fate, I actually rode past the incident on Saturday while out for my ride. The paramedics and police were there already and he was off the path. I recognized his bike but wasn't 100% sure if it was him. I reached out through DMs and Facebook, hoping to get a reply from him, but didn't. I held off posting the news until it had been confirmed.
Raise glass to Northendzone tonight. Rest in peace.

Any link to an obituary at all? It's shocking to me how many CP members I have actually come across with whom I know personally.
I can't say I knew him but you never know who may be a CP poster but also a high school friend, a former co-worker, a client etc.
Regardless, may his memory be eternal to his entire family and friends.

His CP signature still says:
"If I do not come back avenge my death"
My father recently had major heart issues last year as well. The only way I can think to avenge Northendzone is to donate to heart foundations and research. Hearing this news is troubling as it could have been any of us riding a bike. I wonder if he had any underlying conditions.

RIP mate, condolences to all who knew you.
Latest posts suggest he was recently golfing a bit and having In-N-Out so it's fair to say he went out living the good life.

No obituary yet. It's only been a few days and the family is likely still in shock. When it shows up, I'll update the post.

Super shocking. Condolences to his family and friends. He seemed like a very active guy and was also in the Golf thread a lot. Always an emotional reset on priorities in life when you hear these stories.
Anyone know his age?

Oh man, so sad.
He just posted about his Palm Springs golf trip and I commented on how similar his game sounded to mine (the struggles).
I'll think of him next time I tee it up; RIP.
