Users are being sued by Juniper for comments made that Juniper sees as damaging.

Your chances of being sued aren't very high, and the chances of you losing the case are even lower, but its still a pain in the butt to have to go through.

I don't know about the laws of defamation relating to internet posts but there has got to be some free speech protection of this.

Freedom of speech only means that the government cannot forbid you from speaking. It really has no bearing in civil cases.

Ironically, by bringing this suit, Juniper has now made widely known the accusations that it claims are defamatory.

So, instead of a couple of people on one message board thinking the people at the top are crooked, everyone will now be thinking that they are crooked.

More ironically, the Mike Lynn quoted in the article defected to Juniper after being sued by Cisco for his speech
