When you force your GM's hand to go to ONE team, and you have a huge contract in a salary cap world, the receiving team doesn't have to give up much.
Chicago fans should not/should never have expected a big return here if true.

Seems like an underpayment but the Hawks were up against the wall as they either trade him to the Rangers or lose him for nothing. Seems like pretty good chance they could get a 1st round pick out of it of the Rangers can gel as a team.
